Form of Maa Siddhidatri
Maa Siddhidatri sits on a lotus and also rides a lion. Her four hands hold a chakra, a mace, a conch and a lotus.
Maa Siddhidatri Katha
At the start of creation Lord Shiva worshipped the Adi Shakti, who appeared as Siddhidatri and granted him the eight siddhis (spiritual powers). By her grace half of Shiva's body became the Goddess, and he became known as Ardhanarishvara.
Gods, sages, siddhas and ordinary devotees all worship her, and she fulfils both worldly and spiritual wishes.
Her puja completes the nine nights. Devotees perform havan, Kanya Pujan and then break the Navratri fast (parana).

Day 9 Puja Vidhi
- Wake early, bathe and wear peacock green if you can.
- Worship the kalash and light the lamp (or tend the Akhand Jyoti).
- Place a picture of Maa Siddhidatri and offer roli, akshat and champa or hibiscus.
- Offer the bhog: halwa, puri and black chana (the kanya pujan prasad), or sesame.
- Chant "Om Devi Siddhidatryai Namah" 108 times, then recite the stuti above.
- Read the Durga Chalisa or a chapter of the Durga Saptashati.
- End with the Jai Ambe Gauri aarti and share the prasad.
