Maa Chandraghanta rides a tiger. She has ten arms holding weapons and a lotus, and a half-moon shaped like a bell (ghanta) shines on her forehead.
Maa Chandraghanta Katha
After her marriage to Lord Shiva, Parvati began to adorn her forehead with a half-moon shaped like a temple bell, and so she is called Chandraghanta.
She is the warrior form of the Goddess, always ready for battle against evil, yet calm and gracious towards her devotees. It is said that the sound of her bell terrifies demons and negative forces and fills the devotee's home with peace.
Worshipping her is believed to remove fear and bring a quiet confidence in daily life.

- Worship the kalash and light the lamp (or tend the Akhand Jyoti).

- Chant "Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah" 108 times, then recite the stuti above.
- Read the Durga Chalisa or a chapter of the Durga Saptashati.
- End with the Jai Ambe Gauri aarti and share the prasad.
