The Mahamrityunjay Mantra is a powerful Shiva mantra from the Rigveda. It is also called the Tryambakam Mantra and is believed to bestow longevity, ward off death, and bring healing.

We worship the three-eyed one (Lord Shiva) who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. As the cucumber is freed from the vine, may we be liberated from the bondage of death and attain immortality.
