Durga Mantra

The Navarna (nine-syllable) Mantra is the most sacred mantra of the Devi Mahatmyam (Durga Saptashati). It contains three beej syllables — Aim (Saraswati/knowledge), Hreem (Lakshmi/power), and Kleem (Kali/transformation) — invoking Goddess Chamunda, the fierce form of Durga.

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे

🔱 Meaning & Significance

Salutations to Goddess Chamunda. 'Aim' invokes knowledge and speech (Saraswati), 'Hreem' invokes divine power and illusion (Lakshmi/Maya), and 'Kleem' invokes attraction and transformative energy (Kali). This mantra is the essence of the 700 verses of the Devi Mahatmyam.
