Lakshmi Mantra

Diwali Mantras are the sacred chants recited during the festival of lights (Deepavali). They combine invocations to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together, as both are worshipped on Diwali night for wealth, prosperity, and the removal of obstacles.

🔱 Meaning & Significance

Salutations to Goddess Mahalakshmi (with her seed syllables Shreem, Hreem, Kleem). Salutations to Lord Ganesha. The light of the lamp is the Supreme Brahman, the light of the lamp is Lord Vishnu — may this lamp destroy my sins; I bow to the evening lamp. We know Goddess Mahalakshmi, we meditate upon the consort of Vishnu — may Lakshmi inspire us. These combined mantras invoke both Lakshmi and Ganesha for an auspicious Diwali.
